TECHNOLOGY-ENHANCED TEACHING

As a Teaching Assistant, I have gathered knowledge in various technology-enhanced teaching approaches. This section contains the brief overview of the various methods and tools.

During my TAship I gained experience with on-site and online teaching, as well as blended and hybrid approaches. In the 'European Integration and EU governance' course, we particularly relied on a flipped teaching model: the students had to prepare to the classes by reading the selected readings, watching video clips and submitting comments on Perusall. They also had to prepare and share presentations by using the Panopto video-editor programme. During the class we reflected on the raised questions and engaged with further activities and group work, and after class the students submitted feedback and comments. In this way we could benefit from the positive effects of the inquiry-based learning, to develop and practice problem-solving skills.

In my second semester as a Teaching Assistant, we were applying a hyflex course mode at the 'Qualitative Methods for Public Policy' course. In this course, we used a hybrid approach to add flexibility for students' synchronized attendance. Students could select to attend class either in-person or online to have an equivalent learning experience. 

I have also gained experience to set up and use various tools to support technology-based learning:
